As of August 2026, 10 states plus the District of Columbia have no statutory gestational limit on abortion, legally permitting the procedure at any stage of pregnancy up to birth. Massachusetts just passed the law allowing mothers and abortionists to collude in killing a baby in the womb up until a full-term pregnancy. The other states came before them but it happened much more quietly – at least on my Facebook feed. Massachusetts apparently had a bunch of women gather around the female governor to cheer and applaud when she signed the bill into law. What a wicked bunch of women to celebrate the permission to kill babies. Is this a result of the feminist movement? God help us!
Abortion is no more or less murder if it is performed at 3 weeks, 3 months or 9 months. God places a high value on life, all life (Exodus 21:22-23). He has made it clear that He values the life in the womb as much as one of the children in the crowd when Christ told His disciples to let the little children come to Him (Luke 18:16). A law that more or less ends with the idea “… and then you can kill the baby” (such as heartbeat bills or first trimester bills) is still a man-made law legalizing murder.
Sadly, in our culture, children now have the reputation of being a financial drain, career blockers, and general comfort stealers. The Bible however, tells us that they are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:4), you are blessed if you have a quiver full of them (Psalm 127:5), and that our children’s children are the crown of old men (Proverbs 17:6)!
I am an abolitionist. I believe that abortion should be abolished and that any law that is passed that still leaves a period of time when the baby can be killed, is legalizing murder and allowing paid hitmen and murderous mothers to go unpunished.
I know it sounds harsh to anyone who has not thoroughly put her hope in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. I have heard numerous people talk about how women are being coerced or intimidated by fathers or parents and the unfairness of prosecuting them. I understand that because man has made it legal that women have been sucked into the many lies that make them victims. Fear of man seems to be the greatest justification for following through with killing our own children.
But, what if man’s laws changed (God’s have remained the same) and it becomes illegal and a woman would be held responsible for her actions? Would her husband, boyfriend, or father want her facing the death penalty because he doesn’t want a baby for whatever reason?
Liberty Counsel, in a recent newsletter, recounted the story of a minor whose parents were forcing her to get an abortion she did not want. Someone referred her to a Liberty Counsel lawyer who told her to try not to go into the Planned Parenthood but if she did to tell them she would sue them if they performed the abortion. The attorney also called Planned Parenthood before she got there and told them the same things. She left with her pregnancy intact. Thank God for Liberty Counsel!*
